Blue and orange

I built this outfit around these Melissa shoes that I got last week. I originally saw them in an email that I received from Coggles and I thought I'd see if I could find them in Canada.

Blouse: Orphanage Clothing via Twig and Hottie in Vancouver
Skirt: Banana Republic (thrifted)
Shoes: Melissa via GinzaQueen.com

They are surprisingly comfortable for 4" heels. The platform helps.

I last wore this skirt with teal here. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping this skirt much longer. It's not the most flattering thing I've ever worn.

It was the orange stripe on the back of the heel that enticed me into buying these. Fancy!

This blouse is actually two different tops fashioned together. I really like the idea of it but it's a little low cut for work. I was wearing a cardigan to keep covered up.

A few days ago, Sal from Already Pretty linked to my blog - specifically this post.

My blog posts usually get about 30-40 page views but this one got over 800. It was nice to experience the "Sal bump".

  1. Wicked heels! I also love that color next to your face.

I like that skirt a lot. Maybe layering over it?

  2. I saw some shoes like those at the Aldo outlet in Vancouver. I couldn't handle the rubbery feel, but I love the orange stripe up the back!

Could you wear a cami under the blouse to keep it more modest? It is amazing! I love the neckline.

The Sal Bump is pretty sweet. :) Congratulations!

  3. Oh, and I think I would use the skirt as a layering-under piece. All those ruffles would add some nice length to a knee-length skirt.

  4. Ridiculously awesome wedges. I'm also swooning over that blouse. The neckline is really cool. Reminds me a bit of Westwood-style tops.

I agree with the others, if it's layerable give it a shot? If not, sometimes things aren't meant to be.

Also giggling over the "Sal bump", it's happened to me a couple of times. I'm boggled at the traffic. Glad your blog got linked! Yours has been one of my favorite blogs since I found it.

  5. Your pumps are awesome. The stripe up the back was an added bonus. And orange and navy are great together. Wow, who knew a Sal bump could give birth to so many hits?! Excellent! You must be shared with as many people as possible!!
