First off, a big shout out to my West Coast style twin Sheila for her "under the desk" shot in her blog post on Thursday. I know that this is going to be the next big internet meme. You Rock!
(I'm feeling much more like myself now and am very glad today is/was Friday.)
Today I did some pattern mixing.
Sweater: Pretty Things Boutique
Tunic/Dress: americanretro (from Crimson and Clover)
Skirt: Guess by Marciano from Las Vegas
Shoes: Fluevog Operetta | Fiorenza
Originally I was just going to wear the tunic with the tights but it was much too short for my comfort level. I had also planned to wear a different sweater, closer in colour to my shoes but I liked how the polka dots went with the tunic pattern.
I bought this skirt in Las Vegas a few years ago and I'm never totally
warmed up to it because the under layer is "flesh" tone rather than
black. I might look into how to fix it either by just cutting it off and
wearing the tulle with a black slip underneath it.
I haven't worn these shoes in way too long. Probably since I had this photo taken over two years ago. I need to put them into the shoe rotation more frequently than that!
I bought these in the Toronto store, I think in 2009. I had wanted them in orange but they didn't have my size so I went for the turquoise. Just as pretty!
Great shoes! Maybe you can try dying the under layer?
