Lost hearts and words that are spoken to the wind which blows before the rain

After three days of sunshine and mild temperatures, today was all about the rain and humidity, as evident in my hair.

Flippy and fuzzy. Time to get the flatiron out again I guess.

I never know what to wear on rainy days so I just grabbed some comfortable pants.

Blouse: Vero Moda from Envy (local store)
Cami: from Envy
Pants: Lilith
Shoes: Miz Mooz

On Saturday, I walked to the mall which is way to close to my house for comfort. I went in search of blouses and forced myself to not look at dresses or skirts or pants. This is one of them. It was on sale and I liked the colour and it looked ok on but when I wore it today, it drove me crazy.

Or maybe I should say "batty"?

I kept getting the sleeves caught in the arms of my chair and I couldn't shake the feeling that the top kept sliding forward.

I also felt a little too casual.

Here's hoping I can do better tomorrow.

  1. Aww, the ever elusive search for shirts. I like the shirt, but I can see why it drove you nuts. The pleat mirror the stripes in the pants almost perfectly.

We actually had a nice mild day today. Tomorrow? Back to living on the face of the sun.

  2. It's a very cool blouse - maybe belt it to keep it in place?

I used to have blouse issues, but now I have a really hard time finding unique skirts.

  4. I like the blouse - it reminds me more of a powdered grey moth at night. (I hope you like moths!)Like Megan Mae, I like the pleat/stripe mirror effect.

  5. I can't stand humidity! It's my least favorite kind of weather. I do like your blouse, but I can see how the sleeves would get in the way!

  6. That second photo reminded me of 1930's dada theatre costumes I've seen here and there. Lovely!
