More red, black, and white...

Sweater: Pretty Things Boutique
Tunic: americanretro (from Crimson and Clover)
Skirt: Knit by me
Shoes: Hush Puppies by Anna Sui (from John David Shoes)

I'm getting a lot of wear out of this tunic. It's probably my favourite item in my wardrobe right now (if you don't count shoes). I do seem to be wearing a lot of neutral colours lately. Probably because I'm weary of this coldish weather. See I am still wearing tights!

A local fashion blog (Fashionable People, Questionable Things) drew my attention to the fact that these shoes were available for purchase in my very own city. On Saturday I went to just "look" at them. You can't imagine my surprise when I discovered that I had brought them home with me. SURPRISE!

Stripey, spectatory goodness.

Today is also the beginning of Atlantic Fashion Week (which really only takes place on Thursday and Friday). I hope to get to the events and take a few photos to share on the blog.

Here's my cats - Dougal and Merlin - sharing a chair. They used to do this a lot when they were still kittens but lately they've been fighting more than cuddling. I had to capture this while it was happening.

  1. I love those shoes, and wow, you knitted that skirt?? How fabulous!

Aw, Dougal really reminds me of Inigo. Such sweet kittens!

  2. At least they're fabulous tights, right? And omg how cute are those shoes! I usually have mixed emotions on those style shoes, but omg that wedge, that wedge makes me want to do crazy things. So cool. Anna Sui, why do you challenge me with your adorableness!

    Awww kitties. Sleepy kitties!

  3. Beautiful skirt (I'm envious that you KNIT it yourself), amazing tights (I'm still wearing tights in June too), and fantastic shoes! I'm glad someone else featured cats on a blog today. Yours match the theme of the week too :)

  4. Wow, you made that skirt from balls of yarn? It blows the mind, really. And I love that crazy pattern mix of tights with shoe stripe. I am truly tired, tired, tired of this cold weather out here as well. Is it or is it not JUNE?! Ah well, I do love my tights as well. You look great.

  5. So many things to love in this post! I love this outfit, might be my favorite of yours to date - and I'm sure I've said that before, but I really love this! The orange cardi is cute, the layered look of the tunic plus skirt made by you is fantastic! And those shoes, don't get me started, I want them. Love.

And then KITTIES! Your kitties look so much like my kitties I can't stand it! And mine don't like to cuddle much with each other anymore either, so I'm right there with you, when I can catch them, it's photo worthy! Love it!

  7. I'm a sucker for black and white shoes, and if they have stripes too, well then, even better!
