A Diamond in the Mind

True fact. I haven't been able to wear this dress in 5 years. I tried it on this morning on a whim and it fit! I've held onto for so long hoping it would fit again because it's a fabulous vintage dress. I found it in a store that unfortunately no longer exists.

Dress: Vintage (from Junk and Foibles now closed)
Necklace: Pretty Chic
Hosiery: Sock Dreams
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik (last worn here)

This got a lot of positive attention from people at work and on the street. One guy pointed at my legs and gave me two thumbs up. People are very friendly here in Nova Scotia.

Vertical stripes are cool.

And of course I had to keep the ink covered so I just wore this Joe Fresh cardigan that I wear all the time.

There's something crazy about wearing a $14 cardigan with Manolos.  These shoes are very "witchy".

I'll be posting this at Patti's Visible Monday.

  2. This dress is just lovely - very unusual diamond pattern. Sock Dreams Socks are great. I think its a pity the ink has to be covered because your arm art looks really good with the dress. Similar policy at my work too, so no revealing necklines for me (well back neck lines).

  13. That is a fabulous vintage dress. You put the whole outfit together perfectly. It looks so very stylish on you. Very modern in spite of it being vintage.

  14. My work colleague visited Nova Scotia for a holiday earlier this month and said how amazingly friendly you all were! It made him sad to return home. They had car trouble and so many people came to their rescue :-)

Can I also say, I want stripey tights.
