Blue Birds

Sorry about the no post yesterday. I forgot my camera and the photos I took at home were crap so I took the night off.

Today I wore this dress to match my shoooooooooes of happiness and joy.

Scarf: Alexander McQueen (last worn here)
Dress: Shabby Apple (last worn here)
Belt: Noujica from The Workshop in Ottawa (last worn here)
Skirt: Mexx (last worn here)
Shoes: Miss L Fire (via Modcloth)

Last time I wore this dress, I also wore this scarf. Seems like a logical pairing.

The last time I wore this skirt I wore it over another skirt. Nice to know it works as well under other things too.

I was being watched while taking my photos hence the stupid goofy look on my face.

And here I'm apparently looking to heaven for guidance.

This dress is made of out rather thick cotton so I'm not a huge fan of it but it matches the shoes so perfectly.

Cutest shoes ever? Probably! With little birds and flowers on them. Adorable!

My shoe enabler friend sent me a photo of these. Now they are on my feet. ENABLER!

Oh. This happened in my building today. GHA! Christmas is my least favourite holiday.

...and with that, Megan left the building.

  1. Ha, so you get the Christmas grumpiness too? It's all a bit much for me... Especially in November.
But the shooooooes more than make up for any of that nonsense, they are indeed beautiful, and match your dress perfectly.
Don't bother looking heavenward for guidance, you'll only be disappointed... xxxx

  2. You look like the Bluebird of Happiness, Megan.

I don't like Christmas either. One year I only put on the tree because the family promised to take it down. Only no one did until April. This year I might argue that we can't have a tree with a six-month old cat hanging from it.

  3. Those are incredible shoes! I love the deep blue.

I decorate my office for Christmas - no home decorating this year due to the Vizzini Monster. Rar - eat all the trees!

  4. Those shoes are, in fact, made out of magic.

  5. Aaaah, Christmas is encroaching! I'm not a big Christmas fan either - especially not Christmas music.

However I AM a fan of your pretty shoes. You always find the most pretty shoes.

  6. Your shoes brought you tidings of happiness and joy? That's a Christmas carol isn't it? God bless ye merry footwear something or other... Fantastic!

  7. Those shoes are Bee-YOO-ti-Ful!!! I love that shade of blue and it looks great paired with black. Yes, I am also not a fan of Christmas, for many reasons, so for the next month there will be a lot of teeth-gritting and tongue-biting.

  8. That dress is such a beautiful shape as well as a great colour, and the shoooooooes are sooooooo lovely! You look fantastic, the belt, scarf, and layered skirt are also just awesome.

Sorry about the xmas, there. Grotty! :(
I skipped decorating entirely for the past two years in a row, so I'm kind of feeling like I have to this year.

  12. Oh those shoes. Yes, your friend is an enabler but gee whizz, so good they put you onto them.

I am going against the grain and declaring my love of Christmas. Not love of Christmas songs/tv/the usual stuff, but the whole hunker down for the holday, eat great food and the presents thing floats my boat.
