Cricket pants

I really like the clothing from All Saints but sometimes I find it difficult to style. For example, I bought these trousers from them over a year ago, had them altered since they were way to big when I received them, and have only worn them once or twice. They're odd pants because the crotch is low and the bum is quite roomy - like pants that cricket players wear.

I hesitate to wear them now due to the pants that Justin Bieber has been wearing recently. I don't want anyone thinking I'm following his fashion sense.

Cardigan: Pretty Things Boutique (worn all the time)
T-shirt:  All Saints (last worn here)
Pants: All Saints cricket pants
Shoes: Fluevog Presence | Impel (last worn here)

See how large? Very large!

I spent the day doing Christmas shopping aka being repeatedly frustrated by people. I got a lot done but I was at risk of losing my sanity once or twice.

This time of year is an exercise in patience for me. It's a time where people have very high expectations but end up disappointed. I also don't find it very relaxing - mostly taxing. I guess that's what wine is for?
This picture accurately shows my feelings of having been to the mall.  Meh!

  1. I love All Saints. Sometimes their stuff is hit or miss, but I still love their adult-goth designs. Those pants are great for casual looks. I still want a pair of loose harem-sweatpants, but I've never tried a pair on so I'm too chicken to buy a pair untried.

  2. I like these pants. Yes, they do look big, but I'm into that. Sometimes I'll wear them low-slung on the hip. On these maybe I'd splatter some paint?, but probably go for a form-fitting top. Maybe cowboy boots with them? I was running through your posts, catching up - you are gorgeous! I love those lace skulls. I read the feature on you too. Fantastic! It's all about the positive energy.

  3. I completely avoided the mall this year, except for having to venture in to buy L an umbrella. It was horrid.

I'm not a major fan of baggy-ass/crotch pants, but I like the overall aesthetic of this outfit (the shoes are Major). Hope you're having a great weekend!

  4. I think Melanie's on to something suggesting a form-fitting top with those pants. And I think you're on to something suggesting wine.

  5. The pants are cool - I would agree with the suggestion of a form fitting top to balance out all the volume on the bottom. I love that t-shirt!

  6. Congrats on surviving the mall journey! Good thing unusual garments can serve a soul-retrieval function. :)

I love the t-shirt with these awesome pants, which are definitely worth experimenting with fitted / structured / cropped up top.
