No promises, no demands

I called today's outfit "a reject from a Pat Benatar video". Specifically this one:

I used to love all the outfits in this video. I didn't understand that the ladies were supposed to be sex workers. Maybe I thought they were a dance troupe? Oh my naive youth.

I guess I need more layers and ripped tights and leg warmers.

Cardigan: Prive (last worn here)
Dress: McQ
Boots: Fluevog Fellowship | Roseabelle (last worn here)

Excuse the cranky face. I just spent 2 hours cleaning my pantry and my refrigerator. Can anyone explain why I had 8 half empty jars of salsa? Lots of great science projects!

I bought this McQ dress on HauteLook.com a few months ago and never wore it. I tried to sell it at a consignment store but there were no takers so I took it back. Threw it on today and did lots of exciting glamourous things like grocery shopping and the previously mentioned cleaning. Poor Lee McQueen is rolling over in his grave.

Pardon me, but I must leave now and prepare for my shoulder-shake dance-off with the local pimp. Where did I put my fishnet fingerless gloves.

By the by, my tattoo is healing quite nicely.

  1. I LOVE that song, and the video, and the scary boob-shaking dance! Yeah, no pimp will mess with you if you shake your boobs in time to the music, it's a known fact... I do think you might have recreated that for us, Megan, and filmed it. Next time, maybe! I like the dress, in all it's ruched, zipped, frilled, one-shoulder fabulousness. Far too cool for cleaning! xxx

  2. Lovelove the McQ dress. It looks like a very comfy little dress. If you're still wanting to get rid of it by January, I'll see what you want for it. I'll be a bit broke until then. Lol Christmas time.

  3. Awesome dress. I don't think it wanted to live with anybody else. You made me laugh, because I noted in my last post that I had likely tied my cardi like a Japanese sex worker. Hey, lookin' good either way, Megan!

  4. Wow, what an interesting dress! It can see that it would be a bit of a challenge to style, but so cool. Hee, I loved that Pat Benetar video! Shimmy!
