White Light. Homing in.

Yesterday I did the rounds of some of my favourite stores including Crimson and Clover where I found two fabulous things including this skirt.

Blouse and tank: Dynamite
Skirt: Luna Luz from Crimson and Clover
Boots: Fluevog Truths | Petrea (last worn here)

The skirt has ties underneath it so you can tie it up all funky like. It's quite heavy though.

I bought this lacy top yesterday (and got another one in grey). I was in a shoe store in the mall and one of the sales girls was wearing it. I asked her where she got it and she said the store Dynamite. This store isn't one I usually go into because I think the clothes are a little too young for me. I decided to go and take a look. I'm not scared!

I tried on the grey top and really liked it. When I came out of the change room to look in the big mirror the dressing room attendant said that it looked nice. I said "I don't usually come in this store because I think I'm too old for most of these clothes". She replied "No you're not. what are you, like, 27?" Then I professed my undying love for her.

That's a 100% true story except for the last bit.

It has a zipper down the back.

In these photos I'm talking to my neighbour Wendy. She doesn't even bat an eye when I take photos on my deck. Guess she's used to me.

Probably won't be blogging for a few days. I'm traveling for work and then going home for Thanksgiving.

  2. 27? Woo hoo! Well you are a fabulous and funky and cool chickie, whatever your age!
Love the new top, I can see that working with all sorts of outfits, so it just shows that those shops that don't seem quite right for you are worth a look. And super-cool drapey skirt, it will see you through autumn/winter in style.
Enjoy your work trip and have fun at home for Thanksgiving. I'll miss you while you're gone! xxxx

  3. I would fall in love with that shop too, but the age comment is not surprising considering how great you've been looking. I love your new top(s). The heavy skirt must be fun to configure. This feels '20s to me.

  6. Great skirt - love clothes that let you play with the shape! I never go into Dynamite as I feel the same as you did that the clothes are way too young for me; however, after seeing that top, I might have to check it out. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
